Car Park Smoke Ventilation
A well designed car park smoke ventilation system will cope with both the ongoing requirement for vehicle exhaust extract, as well as having the scope to handle a fire situation.
Ventilation systems for underground car parks will typically use axial or centrifugal induction fans, providing a high performance while allowing for smaller scale ventilation ducts. Depending on the application, it may also be possible to reduce the need for expensive sprinkler systems.
Axial smoke fans allow for a smaller size of extract ducting, improving ceiling clearance in a car park, reducing high level clutter and easing the operation of security equipment such as CCTV cameras.
Fan units are fitted with integral inlet and outlet silencers to reduce sound levels, while minimising the effect on performance.
